I'm sitting here typing this on
Christmas Eve in front of my brand new, MASSIVE monitor. I know you're
thinking, "Woohoo...big deal." And to that I have to say,
"Up yours, pal!" You see, for the last year, I've been using a
13-inch monitor to do all my computer stuff, including this website.
That's pretty small, but to make it worse, the viewable area had collapsed to
about 9-inches. That's like trying to paint a mural on a thimble. It
wasn't much better than the monitor I'd been using before, which was the same
size, but had dimmed to the point that you couldn't really see anything that
wasn't REALLY, REALLY white.
Now, you may think I'm making a big
deal out of nothing, and you'd be wrong about that, but the point I'm trying to
make is that it ISN'T the little things in life that make it cool. Its the
big things. Its the REALLY big things that make life worth while.
Everything else is just build up to the next big thing.
Merry Christmas to all, and have a BIG
new year.
